Green Home Tips

1. Buy a compost bin and use it. 
2. Buy Energy Star qualified appliances.
3. Buy power strips and turn off the power to electronics when they are not in use.
4. Eliminate waste by choosing products that are biodegradable or recyclable. 
5. Install low-flow showerheads, faucets, and toilets.
6. Replace incandescent light bulbs with LED or CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lighting) bulbs. (Please make sure to properly dispose of Fluorescent Lighting Bulbs because they are considered hazardous waste!)
7. Support local farmers, join a co-op or start a garden.
8. Use all natural cleaning products free of toxic chemicals or hire a Green cleaning company.
9. Use filtered tap water and reusable containers to eliminate individual water bottle waste. 
10. Walk, ride a bike, carpool, buy a hybrid or a vehicle that gets 35 mpg or greater.
Green Office Tips

1. Buy Energy Star qualified office equipment.
2. Encourage telecommuting, carpooling, and public transportation use.
3. Make "being Green" a team effort to boost morale and provide a safer, cleaner work environment. 
4. Recycle paper, ink cartridges and office equipment, also purchase re-manufactured ink cartridges and recycled paper.
5. Reduce paper waste by sending emails, using projectors, and digital signage.
